- 1913 : In Annecy, the company Laminor was created, specialized in watchstraps manufacturing.
- 1960 : To face the slowing down of the economy, redeployment of the competences into the electroplating segment.
- 1973 : After settling in Metz Tessy, Laminor became Thermocompact and built up a sound expertise on surface coating with precious metals. The buyout of the company Galvafil, specialized in metallic wire processing, allowed them to innovate by developing a chemical and metallurgical technique, allowing to deposit precious metals on a copper wire, then to stretch it by overheating it without altering the quality of the surface.
From Thermocompact to Thermo Technologies, controlled growth and confirmed leadership.
- In 1980 : The Metz Tessy plant doubled its surface and its workforce. As the only industrial centre of electroerosion wire production, it exclusively supplied the whole world in Charmilles machines.
- In 1994 and 1996, the current managers joined the company, allowing it to be booming again and to enter the second stock exchange of Paris in 1998.
- 2001 : Boasting this financial stability, it is enhanced by new competences to form the company Thermo Technologies.
